what a list my little friend.
Driver 8 has never gotten old.
Alice in Chains acoustic is good bu their grooowl when plugged in is grrrrreat.
Its been while since I've seen Blues Traveler and who wouldn't love band with Hurley as the lead singer. Cuz Hurley is and always has been cool.

Black Betty could be a whole post topic by itself... for me I mean.
I loved this song, it takes me back to Bighill's basement and the good old days.
but in light of things I have learned and experienced since those days, I feel conflicted when I listen too it. Great, GREAT, music and guitar licks. Fun song, sounds great. Because I have loved it I have avoided looking too deeply into it. Because I know Ram Jam's time and place I have trouble NOT assuming the song is coming from a dark place and dark mind set.

I'm sure I sound like the dude looking to deep when its not needed and spouting gloom when not appropriate...maybe I am that guy but dang.... I loved that song.

I'm going to treat this like a friday night confessional and admit that, shockingly, I've never heard that Cranberries song until now. Thanks for the introduction to it - I LOVE it!

Brohammas - I agree that the 'No Excuses' is better plugged in but the video was not Skog Blog worthy if you know what I mean.

As far as Black Betty - call it naivety but I always assumed it was about drugs or something of that nature and I too just love the riffs. After reading your comments I did some googling and I'm still unsure of the meaning of this song. Lots of conflicting info. I did not know that it was originally a folk song written by Lead Belly. This song really could be a whole post topic by itself.

Corbie - The Cranberries are much better than we remember them being. They have many quality songs and I have to revisit them every few months. Even their 'hits' aren't that annoying when you hear them on the radio for the 3000th time.
